I moved to the Dudley Co-op in the fall of 2017 and discovered that all of its rooms have a history;
most have a name, too.
The high-ceilinged, sunny double I lived in that semester is called the Chameleon Room, because of a mural on its east wall.
I made these photographs in the Chameleon Room soon after I moved in, but I named them after the room months later.
I was reflecting on the growth and change I experienced during the four months I lived there, and on a feeling of liminality I'd often experienced—
shifting between states, changing color.
